WATER SPORTS

Lucea “Cross-the-Harbour Swim” “THE BIG SWIM” to be enhanced as follows:
An open invitation to all fourteen parishes for submission of competitors;
Invitation to participate extended to participants outside of Jamaica to include athletes from across the region and the USA;
Endorsement by the National Association for swimming, the Jamaica Tourist Board, and relevant ministries of sport/culture;
Other incentives introduced, include increased cash prizes, hotel vacations, and air travel to Caribbean and other destinations.

In this regard, invitations will be extended to the various water sport operators in hotels/resorts for participation and inclusion.

Show-Skiing Displays and Exhibitions

It is proposed that skiing enthusiasts/organizations from within the region and from the USA be invited to showcase their skills in this regard.

The proposed activities will include:
Sky diving exhibitions,
Family oriented boat rides on the harbor,
Fishing Tournaments (pre-event)
OUR SPECIAL BANNER PARADE WILL BE A 48 HOUR ADVERTISING OPPORTUNITY WHERE BRAND LOGO Campaign to spruce up the general town centre; beautification, and enhancement of Lucea and its environs.
